Cole Slaw--The way it should be.

MADISON, Ms-- This wonderful southern dish is one that rarely sees any variation in flavor or texture. The following recipe will provide a new texture and an old timey flavor that screams "home made".

1 large head of lettuce-

1 large white onion-

3 long chives-

2 cups of alfalfa sprouts-

Salt to taste-

Black pepper to taste-

2 cups mayonnaise-

1/4 cup olive oil-

1/4 cup vinegar-

1 tsp liquid smoke-

Simply chop up ingredients and mix as well as you can. This slaw is rustic, savory, and smokey. In addition, the sprouts give it a texture that adds a desperately needed crunch to the slaw.

This slaw is also a main ingredient of a future dish to be revealed soon.

Great idea on the liquid smoke.
